Just Missed: Red Fox (female)
Vulpes vulpes

According to the sensible advice of Callie, I transformed a Just Missed into a Near Missed only by croping the original picture.

I dedicate this photo to all those who believe to have taken a good photo and who, on returning to the house in front of their computer, notice with sadness that their photo of the century is missed.
It is it arrived at me with this one. Not that I believed that it was the photo of the century, but I was almost certain to have caught well a good moment.
Here, my subject is out of focus. I took this photo through a fence and the reflection of the light of the flash created these two big blured white beaches.
I does not put this photo in the category of "Near missed" but " Just missed ". A moment as that one will not reproduce, I believe.
I would never have presented it to you if Callie not had had this brilliant idea to create this category of photos.

For of more ample information about my subject, please refer in my previous presentation.

I hope that you like it even if it is not the photo of the century. ;-)

What a different photo. It almost looks like she is trying to play hide and seek with you.
Good try on trying to capture her in a photo, maybe next time.

Thanks Callie, because we would have "just missed" a couple of very good shots... Like this one. I think you "just captured!" You only "just missed" the sharpness. As I always say, first the story... And in this you did well.

Amicalement Christophe

"I spy with my little eye..." She's a beautiful fox, and she's got her eye on you Luc. It is great composition. Well done.

Zwyczajnie, ¶wietne zdjêcie bardzo mi siê podoba pozdrawiam Robert.

I am thinking that the just missed category is giving us some even more interesting shots to ponder. This one creates an aura of "mischieviousness" in my mind and makes me feel playful as though, as Treasure mentioned, she is playing hide and seek. I got a chuckle Luc, from your (Justus Missus)title...very well done. Thankyou!

I still love it! I'm so glad you decided to post.

That's a very nice near missed shot, it happend the same to me with tigers.
We'll make it one day :-))))

This photo does what I like the most, makes one smile, along with your note. It captures what is so difficult about photographing moving subjects be they human or animal, they don't always cooperate with you! I like how her eye is the most in focus part, really adds to the mood of this photo. I say well done!

Well Luc,
I like you near miss shot a lot, It was near miss and a succes. Okee it is not whole on the shot, but you capture a good reult, the pof is good, okee you have some reflection, but even it is good, very nice jobs

Now Luc, with some cropping you can turn this just missed into a near miss, I'm sure. Crop it in the vertical format, very tight on the left and half the log at the top, and see the difference. You can also tweak some on the eye.

Luc, This is a great addition to this newly created theme. I like where you going with this..really a bit of bad luck it did not come out as you'd like it too..Ahh, the agony & the ecstasy. That fleeting moment when the "photo of the century" slips from your grasp! But if at first you don't succeed, just try, try again! :-)) TFS

Very good shot Luc.
Peek-a-Boo, that whats I will call it.
With little cropping it would be a very good picture.
Well done.

I love this composition, Luc. It really creates and carries the "hiding" from the photographer look excellent. If only... I guess that is why we have this theme. Great save!

Well Luc, reading your dedication made me realize that you dedicated it to every digital photographer in the world :)

I love this shot and would not consider it as a miss. The mood here is great.

Very well done and thanks for posting.

great hide, TFS Ori
