Hi Krysztof,
Ken's remark reminded me of a problem I often face: You have a wonderfull object ready to frame and then there's not enough light to create a sufficient DOF or a shutter speed. . A slight fill in flash can help a lot in this case. To be honest it often doesn't come to my mind to bring a flashlight on a sunny day.
In this picture I would have chosen F4.0 or F5.6 which would give a slightly better shutter speed than 1/50 sec. A soft fill in flash (even the build in from the camera) can help a lot.
But don't worry: I think you made a wonderfull picture and you deserve without a doubt my points. Composition is great.

Hi Kris

What a nice and big stagbeetle male you have here! He is impressive.
Good macro work achieved here; i love the details and the textures on its surface. Also, i find the small drops of water from the leaves very nice :)
Nice POV, good DOF and a beautiful composition all-in-all :)

Me gusta esta macro Kris con excelente POV.
Buenos detalles, aunque el foco no cubra la totalidad del insecto.
El trasfondo logrado es muy adecuado como también el encuadre elegido.
Puedo preguntarte por qué elegiste ISO 1600 en este caso?.

le coleoptere est legerement flou sur l'arriere et il lui manque un bout de patte,mais la tête est bien nette et c'est la l'essentiel.
