Nice 'classic lion shot' lighting is good, and compliments the tawny colours of the cat, which is further enhanced by the Fuji Velvia film.

This is a beautyful shot, Suha!
The lights and details are excellent! The composition is very good.
Very, very nice work!

Doesnt get any better, unless you clone out the twigs but other than that you could not ask for more: eyes are popping, pose is great, the mane is unbelievable, the light is divine, the backgrounde is representative, sharpness is ,,two thumbs up,, the black is veiling the lion in an even more misterious light.

Hey Suha, Are you sure you weren't out in front of this Lion holding a special lamp for him to pose? the light falling on him is just perfect, it frames his face just right, great colours, good focus and the look on his face,,,,, say no more!

Catman, I am deeply disapointed, not in the photo though, that is EXCELLENT and deserves to be a 50 + pointer.
But, for a man that takes this good quality photo, you should have millions of points, but alas,I found only one critique on your page....
you have to critique others photo's (you get 20 smileys everyday)you will find that once you start doing that regularly your work will also be critiqued more, this is what these sites are about, learning from each other (ok I'm leaving my soapbox now....smile)

Suha, the light is absolotely awesome and your subject just excellent!!! I would prefer a more detailed analysis both on location and technical parameters (especially from a pro like yourself)
Just one question... was the 70-200mmD f/2.8 ED IF AF-S VR available back in 1997???

Oopss sorry for the NR, my bad... :-(((

He looks dangerous :)
