A beaver lodge in the hills above Ushiaia. A sad story where beavers were introduced from Canada for their pelts. The pelt business was not viable and the beaver proliferated without predators. The forests are suffering as a result.
11 o'clock at night, began snowing as I arrived.

Hi Michael
What a great shot!
I liked the notes, and the "mood" created by the early snow :)
Good DOF, POV and sharpness.
well done.

This is a really beautiful shot. It is like something from a fantasy novel, the Hobbitt or something. I love the muted colors and the mistiness of it. Great shot!! TFS, Shelly

Hi Michael,
Geat note, with an very powerfull image. The entire scenery looks kinda sinister and fits the story perfectly. Two thumbs up for keeping the camera outside with all the snow.

This place looks surreal and I love the mood you have captured with the late evening and snow, pity there was'nt a beaver there.

Hi Michael,
This is wonderful! I like this atmosphere and great details. I feel like being in a fairy tale where is the house, not of a beaver but of a wicht :) Very good composition. and contrast TSF,

Interesting story, another introduced species that causes mayhem. Haven't heard of this one before though.
Great shot, very dramatic. Is that rain or snow? TFS.

Hi Michael

This is a formidable landscape!
I know this shot was supposed to be about that beaver lodge, but the way it's taken, with that snow falling on that grass and those trees fallen in the FG...wow!!! It looks as it faken from a fairy tale! I really, really like it!
Great work!

Bravo and TFS

Hello Michael!
Thanks for your visit and comment on my recent picture.
Your succinct note with the picture says it all. Another example of man-made disaster.
The place looks desolate and somewhat eerie to me. Still, it is a nice picture that captures the atmpsphere very well.
TFS and regards.
