[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A beaver lodge in the hills above Ushiaia. A sad story where beavers were introduced from Canada for their pelts. The pelt business was not viable and the beaver proliferated without predators. The forests are suffering as a result.
11 o'clock at night, began snowing as I arrived.

Interesting story, another introduced species that causes mayhem. Haven't heard of this one before though.

This is a formidable landscape!
I know this shot was supposed to be about that beaver lodge, but the way it's taken, with that snow falling on that grass and those trees fallen in the FG...wow!!! It looks as it faken from a fairy tale! I really, really like it!

Thanks for your visit and comment on my recent picture.
Your succinct note with the picture says it all. Another example of man-made disaster.
The place looks desolate and somewhat eerie to me. Still, it is a nice picture that captures the atmpsphere very well.
