[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I think to deal itself a Carpocoris mediterraneus, but with a total different coloration. The morphology of this bug is similar to the one of Carpocoris mediterraneus, at least is one of the same family. In this photo I tried to prevent much depth of the field a time that I don“t want to evidence the thorns of the plant… I finished for all finding the prompt focus in center of the bug interesting, keeping the remaining portion slightly unfocus.

Hi Joao

This is a lovely capture of a beautiful and remarkably coloured insect.

The composition and overhead POV is great. The green BG is well OOF making the colourful stink-bug stand out very well. The details on the insects back is very sharp, but personally I would have gone for a slightly smaller aperture (f/6+) to ensure the legs and antennae were in focus as well. Anyway, the exposure was well controlled to prevent any OE on the shiny surface of the bug and the BG.
