[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken from the edge of a trail leading to this small lake in Mont St-Bruno National Park, this picture shows the nice fall colors and calm water. From where I stood in the shades of the forest, the opening trough the trees was quite dramatic.

Park fact:
The Mont Saint-Bruno National Park teems with plants and wildlife. Sugar maple, American beech, American linden, bitter hickory, and red oak are among the main types of trees found in the park's sugar maple/hickory stands. In certain areas where conditions are unsuitable for maple/hickory stands, two other exceptional forest communities may be found-red oak/sugar maple/hop-hornbeam stands and hemlock/sugar maple stands. Mont Saint-Bruno is home to about 590 species of plants, including 15 that are rare.

The clamness of the lake is amazing!
Interesting composition, the scenery is nicely framed by the branch in top...
Lovely autumn colours and I can almost smell the crisp clean air!

This is a nicely exposed image, Patrick. I am not sure if the blue of the water being more saturated than the sky it is reflecting, looks natural. I think the composition might benefit from cloning out those little bits of leaves in the top center...or else one could have included more of the branch extending across the top...I think little bits like that are distracting. It is so hard to notice those things through the viewfinder. I am always cutting the top off of things!

Hi Patrick,
Stunning image with great rich colors. I don't mind the branch at all. It gives the image a more lively feeling. The reflection and colors of the trees are really stunning. In regards of the colors of the lake and sky, you might want to merge a darge version with this one to get some more balance in both colors.

Splendid view you have here! This is really beautiful!
The simetry between the the two halves ofthe shot is reamarcable...i wouldn't know which one is the real thing if it weren't for the tree branch :)
Great natural colors, well exposed, framed and composed.
