[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These spidery flowers (Liatris) are somewhat unique in that they open from the top down. I worked with the DOF with this shot to get some color in the blurred background. It is always a compromise due to the need for a fast shutter because of the swaying of the flowers.

Hi Ed,
Today I discover for me unknown flowers of USA.(Feather has one very close to yours).
This one is intersting because of the opening of fowers in a reverse way . Very beautiful colours and nice background
