[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was taken on one of my favorite winter ridge ski/snowshoes near where I live. A storm had passed through the night before; dumping a good of foot of snow on the mountians. The brooding storm was heading east, as seen by the dark clouds. Ths sun however was shining on the mountians; creating a bit of a surreal tone. My snowshoe tracks can be seen bottom left.

hi tim,
lovely shot,
well composed, nice pov, good dof,
well done,
tfs & regards

You sure do live in a beautiful area and your take advantage of it. I so enjoy your pictures. Do you compensate up 1 or 2 stops when you meter off of snow? The snow does look a little gray here but it is hard for me to tell what the conditions were.

Hi Tim

A lovely winter scene. I just wish the text you have added was smaller.

Ha! Winter is here! You guys in BC had a lot of precipitation these couple of weeks! and of course, in the mountains is the aboundace of snow! Can't wait to take out my snowshose here in the east!
Your composition is nice with the diagonal line of the slope and the vertical line of the trees in the FG. The tree in the middle is a bit distracting but it's not that bad. Your DOF is right on. Good balanced sharpness. Your exposure is also very well balance. You have mastered well this picture with the snow.

PC :)

Hello Tim,
This is an impressive winter landscape!
Snow is exposed very well, keeping good textures...
Pleasant composition, good details!

Hi Tim,
Beautiful winter scenery. The sunlight really created some surreal tones. Your track really adds some dynamic feature to the scenery.
