Hello Yves,
an admirable clear and sharp picture of the Zygaena and also of the flower. The picture is very well composed and has a nice background - non-disturbing and with faint colours.
Although, details of the Zygaena-species are well seen, a 100% identification is not possible. But this has biological reasons. There are two species in question
- Zygaena purpuralis and
- Zygaena minos
They form a pair of sister-species which cannot clearly separated by external characters. Morphological examination would be necessary (identification by molecular biological methods is also possible).
