Again with my favourite theme, of course fungi.
Hope I dont bore you. I understand it is not a popular subject.

Callie, sugested in THIS shot that fungi sometimes may look like a "rose of the desert". I think this one also remembers this sandstone formations.

I am not very sure of what is this. Maybe Clive can help me.
At fist sight looks very much like a Laccaria, but the way it opens also remembers Psathyrellas. But I did not find a convincing specie...

Hope you like!

PP: crop, levels, clone out a highlight at left corner, frame, resize, USM.
I also cloned out the other washed parts, but I did not like it, I think they give a bit of life to general lighting. Do you agree, or you find them disturbing? Thanks in advance for yous answers.

Un monde incroyable les champignons. Une des plus belle que tu as envoyé. La composition et l'hamonisation des couleurs parfait. La prise de vue et le DOF super. FÉLICITATIONS !

Never a boring subject Felipe, fungi are so varied, this one does look like the piece of sand rose sat on my window ledge.
This one is very nicley detailed in the subject, the BG is very well OOF and the sky though the trees is not too bright ether so is not the distraction it could of been , Well done.

Thanks for posting

Felipe, great macro on this fungi. Amazing detail and color. A great POV on this one. Nice Job!

Great shot Felipe.
I never get tired to look at good pictures as yours.
Great DOF, POV colours and sharpness.
Great work

Hi Felipe
This one is really beautiful, the folds or fonds really makes this one look like a prime specimen of desert rose! Very nice, TFS

Hi Felipe, A wonderful photo as usual I am always surprised at your DOF and sharpness. I believe you are on the right track with Laccaria. I have seen them do this before and believe its an environmental effect.

My theory is during the caps development there is a change in moisture on the caps surface (short dry spell, high winds etc.) so top surface cell do not develop to there normal length. The cells below these do as these are longer it force the cap to curl over on its self. A bit like an umbrella blown inside out.

Great shot Felipe. The POV is really bringing out the true picture of this specimen. I hope you find the correct ID.

You are master of photo! Wonderful! Just perfect! 10/10 points!

Perhaps the subject is not popular, but the way you photograph them is fantastic.
It has made me look at fungi differently when I'm in the bush.
I learn something from every image you publish.
This one has an alien appearence and your POV is spectacular.
As Joanna says you are a master of fungi photography, 10/10

It definitely has a "rose of the desert" look to it. Once more this type of post could never bore me. It exceptional in subject matter and quality. Keep 'em comming.

Nice picture. Sharpness is great and let us see lots of details. Good DOF.

I love the detail you have here, but even more so, the background which shows where this mushroom lives.

I missed that one, Felipe! It's really something else, and the comparison with the rose of the desert is stunning. The composition is very attractive. Stunning details and colors. Thanks for posting so various and beautiful images on the same subject. You really show here the richness of the fungi world.
