Took this photo at Butterfly world in wroughton, nr swindon. the butterfly gave me just less than a minute, then it flew off again. not as sharp as I wanted it to. also having problems uploading pictures at correct size, lenght and widht are fine, just resolution often too low, and then unsharp. any suggestions?

I think part of the softness problem here is that you have missed the critical point of focus on the eyes, the focus point appears to be closer to you half way up the wing/antenna, and with such a tiny Depth Of Field the body/legs/eyes look soft. This would have been very good if the focus was tight on the eyes, and maybe a touch more contrast.

If you sharpen the image before resizing, it's always worth giving it a quick and very low value resharpen after resizing as sometimes the resize will soften things down a bit too.
