Beautiful Jasper NP
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|On this day we went hiking in the area near Maligne Lake. There were different trails, and we chose to walk the "Mary Shaffer Loop trail". |
It was a lovely walk with a lot of nice views and this is one of those views.
Some info about Mary Schaffer wich I found on the internet:
Mary Schaffer was best known in the Canadian Rockies as a buckskin-clad writer and explorer of Maligne Lake, she was also at home in the finery of Philadelphia.
Mary Schäffer was famous for her explorations in the Canadian Rockies. In 1908 she and her guides arrived at Maligne Lake by following a map drawn for her by Stoney tribesman Samson Beaver. Outside native circles, the lake was unknown.

A nice composition!
Fine diagonals and I notice how the trees are trying to settle on the grassland in front...
Colours are marked by the fact winter had just left, good details in forest and mountains!

I like your composition.Colours are "tired" after winter, but the meadow with dead grass is impressive in contrast with darkly green through the forest.High mountains be fine delimited nobly clouds on sky.
Very nice work.
TFS and regards.
Wat mooi, vier verschillende lagen. Gras, bomen, bergen en lucht. Het open space gevoel is perfect weergegeven.
You have done it AGAIN. 1/3, 1/3, 1/3.
Everything is in almost equal propositions. Part of the dry landscape, the mountains & woods, & that beautiful sky. Dont know your secret. Anyway this is a great capture. Congratlations. Well done.
