What a magnificent in-flight you have here!
The pose you managed to capture this beautiful heron in is impecable (with it's wings perfectly streched and heading toward the light). That, together with the very good POV, gave you a wonderful warm effect on the face of this lovely bird.
Also the DOF is excellent, the spotless blue sky work great as a BG adn teh framing and composition are charming.
Very well done, my friend!
Bravo and TFS
PS: hpe you don't mind me adding a WS...it's a wonderful picture and i only tried to boost it's strong points a bit :)

Well done Laurent.
I can't tell you how many times I've missed an opportunity as well.
Sometimes things happen faster than we can adjust :(
Even with the OE, a nice inflight that is sharp with good detail..

This for me is a common sight. They live in the forest near my house, never managed to take a pic from it. This is very well done. Even with your eo I think you have done a great job.

Fine inflight capture of the Grey Heron with good sharpness and composition.
I have not yet succeeded in catching it in flight so well as this.

This is a reasonably impressive shot of the heron in flight, Laurent. The light head actually contrasts well with the darker wings.
Well done and TFS.

Bonne composition.
Salutations et au revoir...JP

You did well balancing out some very bright light and difficult shooting conditions. You caught a nice full wingspread pose. The are very nervous and hard to get close to.
Nice shot here.

Muy bonito ese vuelo de esta garza real, quizás le falta un poco de luz en las alas, si puedes utiliza un teleflash para estas tomas, verás como ganan.

Superb in-flight composition!
Simple but effective presentation, good freeze of the bird!
In-flight shots of heron are very difficult in the European form as they seem to have become shy due to persecution so whenever your try to get close they move away. So this clear shot is well done, you could selectively darken the head to reduce the brightness of the over exposure, you could also lighten the dark areas under the wing area also.
I have my self only managed 1 perched shot and one series of in-flight ones taken in multi-shot of which only the 1st of it on the bank and the last fully in flight were sharp as it shot up as soon as it heard the shutter click ;0((( so it can be a slow job getting good images unless you are prepared to sit in a hide and wait for one to turn up.
TFS yours Robert

Belle photo de ce héron gris, les détails sont bons,la netteté est bonne, pas de flou, c' est bien de cette manière que le héron vole avec son cou replier. Amitiés Thomas
