[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
After having witnessed a successful hunt by a cheetah on our first day in the Mara, we followed this one as she started stalking some Thomson gazelles, keeping our distance. When a large herd of wildebeest and zebra wandered into the scene, she had to give up the hunt.

Hi Daniel

What a great side on view you caught of this grand lady. I too was fortunate enough to witness my first ever cheetah kill in the Kruger Park during my holiday there in October. What a privilege.

Anyway, you've done excellent with this shot. Classical composition, pose, and POV, great natural colours, nice sharp details, stunning OOF grassy BG, and very good exposure levels.

I wish for you and your loved ones a wonderful and fulfilling 2007.

What a sleek and beautiful animal. Exceptional colors and nice DOF. Your note sounds like something I used to hear on old TV program, "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom." Nice post.
