The metallic reflections on this cute insect are excellent and very well captured, the details are great, clear and sharp and the colors are wonderful.

Excelente macro Hernan, por la dificultad de retratar estas especies que producen tantos reflejos y falsos focos.
Me gusta la combinación del punto de vista captado con el encuadre que elegiste para su presentación, sobre un fondo limpio, difuso y contrastante.
Lo ajustado del DOF permite un desenfoque incluso sobre la misma hoja que lo soporta con tonos suaves y bien naturales.
No estás incluyendo el valor de velocidad... estás usando la cámara en prioridad de apertura, elegiendo el valor del F?.
Muy bien hecho.
Feliz 2007 y a sacar cientos de fotos!.

Interesante ejemplar del que he visto otros en ese mismo color pero completamente liso lo que es el "lomo". Muy buena definición y estupendos detalles Hernán.

We see this shiny insect quite often in a plateau here too. It usually pops up in summers after the rain, as far as I am aware. I tried to capture it a few times but I did not like the result. Your shot is just perfect in showing us the shiny texture and the placement of the insect over the thorny leaf is just excellent. Great shot my dear friend.

Great macro of this colourful small beetle, very nicely composed shot with excellent sharpness and a great pose. The colour is really good with the metallic copper-brown showing perfectly on the green leaf. The detail and environment are just right. Sharp and shiny, and a pleasure to look at.
