Another try in taking a picture with low light condition. This was taken from the same ledge as my previous post, beside Mount Washington in Pinkham Notch. This is a view looking south in the Ellis River Valley.
It was taken 1 minute before sunrise. I waited patiently until the colors were at there best. Used a grad filter to balance the exposure.

Hi Patrick, beautiful colours, looks like a great place. Good job on the exposure and composition too.

Hello Patrick,
A good result from this 4 secs exposure.
You got a very nice sunrise colors in the sky, and even can be appreciated details and texture on the mountains.
Good composed also.
Congratulations and thanks for share,

Hi Patrick,
Excellent balance in the exposure. The colors in the sky are in great condition and look very rich in contrast. And you also managed to get great details in the much darker ground. Really excellent work. The view is spectacular as well.

Nice work Patrick. Looks like the slow shutter speed and the ND grad served you well. It is nice to have that foreground rock to make the image more personal to the viewer. Isn't Mount Washington the one that is always so windy and cold? You were lucky that the weather cooperated.

I love the view! The exposure is very well balanced with fantastic colours. There seem to be very little or no noise in the picture, which is very good. Did you use ISO100? The use of grad filter seems to create a very nice image!

Hello Patrick,
A great colour palette, typical for Northern winter sunrise!
Bit surprised however, to see the time in the exif...
Well done on composition and exposure, fine details are captured!

Salut Patrick,
Bravo!

Hi Patrick,
Having been to the White Mountains of NH many times, I really enjoyed your photo. The colors are great with good detail and light below the sky thanks to the use of the graduated neutral density filter.
Best wishes,
