Hello Anders,
This image has a very strong visual impact, in terms of the winter's impact. The only reference of color is the brown and frozen water, and it's a very interesting effect.
Very good composition, with the branches in different layers, giving sense of deep.
Well done and thanks for share,
JM

Hi Anders,
Good to see you are posting a photo again. Also good to see that winter is finally acting a bit normal again. Eventhough it hasn't reached my part of the world. The combination of that brown ice with the snow convered trees is very interesting and gives the photo the needed color. Your composition with the branches leading me into the scenery toward the end of the water is well choosen. It is a pity that the sky came out that bright. With this kind a weather, a CP filter might do the trick a bit better.
TFS,
Niek

There is a nice "feel" to this photo. I think it is the unusual warm color to the muddy ice contrasted with the snowy trees. I like the composition leading into the scene.

Evelynn : )

Hi, Anders!
That's a really original shot, I think. The "unusual warm color" Evelynn mentioned plays a major role in the originality as well as in the photo itself, and I also like the simplicity. The absolutely white sky wouldn't suit too many photos, but here it kind of improves the shot, in my opinion. I wonder if it would ruin the composition to crop about half the height of the water from the bottom (maybe it would remove an important part so I'm not sure), because that way, the photo would follow the rule of thirds. But it's really nice as it is, thanks for sharing!

Hi Anders,
Nice shot, great combination of brown (muddy) water and the snowy branches. They make beautiful contrast. Although I feel the image's too bright and there's too much of the blown out sky. Also the water / background 50-50 combination is something I don't fully like - please have a look on my WS. The branches in the foreground are fantastic and make beautiful 3D effect.
Best regards, László
