Aquí llegó el criticón... buen contraste de colores, desacertado punto de vista... siempre y en la medida de las posibilidades debes captar algo del costado del insecto y de la cabeza en esa misma posición.
Como en otras ocasiones, el DOF es algo escaso pero no lo manejaste manualmente, un poco más de profundidad hubiese optimizado los detalles de las patas.
1/60 de velocidad y sin flash no es tan mala iluminación... aquí se aprecian los detalles del insecto gracias a ella con muy buena definición.
Todavía no tuve tiempo de responderte tu propuesta... lo haré pronto por email.

Hi Nelly,

A great composition with complementary colors to make the bug stand out easily. Excellent ideea to position the bug in one of the strongest points of the picture. The two more or less horizontal nervures also follow the rule of thirds. Very good job on the composition!
The use of complimentary colors is enhanced by the very shallow depth of field, both of them making the subject stand out perfectly. Exposure is perfectly handled and the sharpness is spot on. Maybe it falls off towards the rear part of the bug but it keeps the head in focus which is good. Sometimes poor light conditions are better than a bright sunlight which creates harsh shadows. The shadows in your photo are very soft, almost unperceivable, revealing every detail. A very good work! Congratulations and TFS!

La verdad es que quizás técnicamente no sea la foto perfecta, pero desde el punto de vista de la estética es preciosa por ese contraste entre el verde del escarabajo y el rosa de la planta.

poor light conditions or not this is a good photo.The contrasting colours work very well together and grainy metallic sheen of the weevil is wonderful.Sure the details are muted somewhat but it is so minor a point.Nice upload,thanks for letting the world see this one. Bob
