[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Not what the average traveller expects to see when confronted with the amazing wonder that is Uluru. The generally accepted appearance is that of a huge red rock in the middle of a parched desert with endless blue skies. That was what I was actually hoping for however to my delight I found waterfalls and cascades flowing off this giant monolith creating pools and small streams around its base. It was a pleasant surprise to find a scene few visitors get to see. The only down side was 4 inches of water in my tent when we returned to camp!

Hi Steve,
I like the color contrast of green and red:
We can also clearly see hor the surface of the rock was formed by the water pouring on it during centuries.
