[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a scanned image of Chaco Canyon's "Fajada Butte" as seen from the excavated ruins of "Una Vida" where a claret cup hedgehog cactus blooms bright red in the foreground.

The claret cup hedgehog cactus flowers for about three weeks. The red flowers start appearing in late April and extend through mid-May (approximately April 25 through May 15, but this varies from year to year).

Hello JC!
I really like you picture. It has a nice contrast between red flowers and the mountains/sky. Also the DOF is nice even if it is not perfect. On the other hand it is a pitty that the flowers are not sharp...
Anyway, nice skan and generally very nice picture.
Best greetings,

Wonderful composition!!!
I only think the colours could be more vivid... but maybe this is due to the scanner.

Very good composition. However the background is a little noisy.
