In fact this is a messy capture, but I have to show it, this photo is taken just before closing time of the camp. The evening is falling.
I will never forget the sound, noise, of the vultures, it was a kind of scary. If I see my captures back of this scene the sounds are coming back. So impressive I will never forget.
The buffalo in front was captured by a group of lions the day before.
Thanks for looking

Yes, sometimes it is a pity tou can't attach the sounds and the smell.
When I post process my images I often imitate some kind of mondegreen.:-) Don't tell anybody...

Hi Vivian,
An excellent shot to show the cycle of life. It is not always pretty or delicate. Life is very difficult for many animals. Only the strongest survive for any length of time. I can imagine the smell and sounds were pretty nasty also.
Scott

Well done, it's a very nice shot specially with the vulture in the center

Hi Vivian

Another wonderful post from you!
Nice to see you back to regular posting, btw :)
This is indeed a splendid action shot!
The mood of this image is very interesting and the feast that awaits is just inevitable and expressed well by the shot.
It also shows clearly who is the number one of hte "flock" - right on top and spreading it wings ;)
Wonderful colors and details, great DOF and POV.
Very well done!

Bravo and TFS

Hi Vivian,
A real life action shot!
As hard as it is.
I like so much this moment captured, of the food chain in nature.
Excellent POV to show all the voltures involved, and very good DOF to put away the background with the blur.
Congratulations, thanks for share and my best regards,
JM

Hello Vivian , very interesting and good action photo of vultures , TFS.

Hello Vivian,
I can understand that this moment might have been so impressive... This is a hard scenery but it is nature's way. This is what we called an action shot. These guys are really specials and I guess that the noise they make when eating must be very disturbing and weird... Well done!
