[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This Eastern Kingbird was captured just after he had caught his lunch. I was watching him fly out from his perch on a fence post and catch his prey in midflight, then he would return to the fence to eat. I tried to get a good in flight photo but failed miserably. I did like this shot though except for the fact it's from the back and you can't see his white breast.

Hi Rick,
Even though you didn't capture the front view of this Eastern Kingbird, it is a nice shot with fine catchlight in the eye, great BG and good comp.
It must be open to speculation as to the ID of his catch.
TFS and best wishes, Ivan

Hello Rick,
Excellent shot of the Kingbird showing sharp details and I like his shiny feathers. Good lighting and background and a very nice composition.
TFS and regards, Ulla

Hello Rick,
This is a nice fellow and you caught him at a very good timing with this insect in his beak. I like his pose and details. This green BG is beautiful and I also like this lightning a lot. Well done! Thanks,
Claudine

This is a beautiful composition with the wire, the bird looking left and the beautiful green background. You even got a sparkle in the eye!

Thanks for sharing, mate!

Regards/Bengt

Beats going to McD!

Amazing that you got that bird with its mouth full...

I have seen Robins collecting worms when they have a nest of young ones to feed.. But this looks like a flying insect was caught, not?

Good PoV, very nice gray ;) Jay

PS Seeing the backside and the markings is excellent!

Absolutely excellent, you nailed the threes, detail, exposure and comp! The bug adds a nice touch too!

Greg

I like your POV from the back, Rick.
The turned head adds interest, and we can still see the beak and the bug.
Great catchlight in the eye, and good values of the gray-browns in the plumage. I also like the clean green BG.
TFS. : )

All good.
Only nit is that the fellow is wired. Try WiFi:-)

Hi Rick,
A really wonderful photo with such a great catch for him and you. The OOF BG with its nice green color really brings out the Kingbird and its catch perfectly. Excellent sharpness and exposure wich brought out the little twinkle in the eye beautifully.
TFS,
Niek

Hello Rick

A beautiful capture of this kingbird. The details are amazing.Wonderful POV and DOF.The details are sharp, the colours are spot on,and the composition is well done.I like the OOF BG too.I agree with Argus, the details are almost good enough to identify the lunch in it's beak.TFS

Hi Rick,
this is a very good capture of the capture of the bug captured by the bird you captured with your camera,it sure has captured my eye.One thing is for sure I'm definitely going to enjoy good shots with my new lens since your shots are mostly excellent ones. The composition of this shot is spot on with good colour and a nice out of focus background.Simple and minimalistic with the details of the subject out front for all to see. Bob
