The name of this species is Orange Tip (Anthocharis cardamines). Its distribution is all over Europe. In Israel it can be found in February and March in the Mediterranean regions. The female is missing the orange patch on the forewing.

Wing span: 40 m"m.
Host plants: Cruciferae species, especially on flowers buds.

Nice to see oyu again!
Another wonderful macro from you, with this very beautiful butterfly!
I wnated to capture something like myself, too, but never really got to it...so congratulation to you!
The details here are exceptional and the colors superb and vivid!
The POV is great - showing the ipper wings in all their beaty - an dthe DOF is impeccable, blurring the BG very nicely.

I love the gentle composition! Sharpness is very keen and bg has a fitting DOF. The butterfly and the flower are really beautiful.
