nice shot. i guess geese are popular! i think the goose could use a little sharpening though but that may be my monitor.

And you got a great capture. Even when your ready its not easy to get the perfect result.
This one looks prety good to me, wings in the extended positin and everthing in focus. If I was going to be super critical I could say the white on the undertail are a little OE, but so what. Its a great shot and I bet its a long time til you get a better one.
Well done
Chris

Nice work Simon the details are very good for a flight shot good quick focusing well achieved with the 180mm nice bit of catchlight to help the eye stand out with it being a black area. TFS rgds Necip.

The Canadian Goose has got to be one of the most widely dispersed and successful species. We are almost over run by them. They winter here by the thousands and many have decided to stay year round. When some of the flocks take off the sound of wings and honking can be almost deafening. You managed some nice panning here. It is not an easy skill to learn. Nice work.

Hello Simon,
A spectacular capture at 1/1600. The image has turned out to be perfectly sharp.
The posture of the bird in flight is elegant. The colours and details are pretty good.
TFS and all the best.

I don't care WHERE the Branta Canadensis shows up... I lve 'em! Of course it's a different story when they grease a meadow with goose fertilizer! Good catch Simon! Great stretch from beak to toes! Honk, honk, eh, J.

Hello Simon,
Wonderful shot, I like the flying freezed pose of the goose and good details on feathers.
I have a mini canadian goose inside a crystal gift that gives to me my uncle when was 6 years old and now it´s still decorating my library. The goose is in the same pose that this in your pic!
