[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

this is from near the same spot as my last post, which was down at the bottom of that pointy cliff, known as Gad Cliff. This was about half an hour before hand and shows just how changable the weather has been recently, and still is.
From this angle, you can see the sharp change between rock types, with igneous forming the dramatic foreground, before changing abruptly to the bright white Limestone of Worbarrow bay in the background.
The 'island' in the far background is the Isle of Portland, which isn't a real island as it is connected to the town of Weymouth by a spit of land known as Chesil Beach.

Hand held on top of very windy hill, rotated slightly by 0.5 degrees and sharpened a little.

Awesome view, with great calm colours.
Well taken...

Hi Paul,

I like this rough terrain. The POV is appealing to the eyes. DOF is good and nice play of light and shadows.

PC :)

Hi Paul,
Thanks for sharing this lovely landscape, it is very eye appealing. I do have some questions if you don't mind, the white line that leaves on the right at mid picture is this a rock wall. Also the trails coming up the hill are they from sheep?

bello pov. y agradable compo.
buen dof. y iluminación, saludos

Hi Paul,
Great work on the handheld action. I knoe how this sometimes can be very difficult, but you nailed it. The view is really spectacular, especially with this beautiful jagged cliff in the MG. The white cliffs on the back gave this photo an extra focal point and depth.

Colors, texture and contrast are amazing here, esp. the two cliffs, where one is in the shade while the one in the back sees bright daylight. Great sky and clouds, too. Would probably look even better with a polarizer. Regards,
