[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Got this little guy in Corbett. I realise that the cropping does not follow the rules of the guy having space to look into - I thought that the berries on the side were more interesting and a larger crop seems to lessen the picture. So, forgive the unconventional cropping.

Some details on the bird:
The Black-crested Bulbul, Pycnonotus melanicterus, is a member of the bulbul family of passerine birds. It is resident breeder in tropical southern Asia from India and Sri Lanka east to Indonesia.

This is a bird of forest and dense scrub. It builds its nest in a bush; two to four eggs is a typical clutch.

The Black-crested Bulbul is about 19cm in length, with a long tail. It has olive upperparts and bright yellow underparts. The head, throat and crest are black. Sexes are similar in plumage, but young birds are duller than adults. The flight is bouncing and woodpecker-like.

an excellent capture with great colors,as well from the bird as the BG,they fit excellent together,for the compo it would have been bettter if he had looked to the left instead to the right but that is a minor,I like this shot a lot,very well done and TFS

What a wonderful photo with such a vibrant yellow color in both the BG and the bird. And still the bird is well seperated from the BG. I love the soft lighting in this photo and the details in both the branche and the head of the bird. I have to agree with Paul on the composition, there isn't enough room on the right of the bird. Always have room on the side where the bird is looking at. But, I still like the photo a lot.
