This is a repost after a number of you have requested a large post version, so I have cropped it slightly differently and made sure I got the sizes right this time. Also there is a little more space and the extra set of stones to the left of the picture.

From before.

I had gotten up that morning to temperatures of -11C and a beautiful clear sky and fantastic views, but within the hour freezing fog had rolled in up off the loch and I was rather disappointed. So on the grounds I could see nothing where I was, I decided to leave the glen and move on elsewhere.

I never made it out of the glen. As I was leaving the fog started to roll back and left behind a beautiful scene which just had to be photo'ed.

What is great about the weather here is that it is hiding the A82 (main road) which winds up at the back of this photo onto Rannoch Moor.

This one is slightly editted (cropping out the excess grey fog on the top, resize and sharpen and brightened a touch). It was taken using the tripod, my 300mm lens at full zoom and mirror lockup and timer exposure to reduce the camera shake from the long lens.

The location is Loch Tulla which is at the base of Rannoch Moor. The photo was taken from the Inveroran road from Bridge of Orchy, not far before the sign that reads "That which burns, never returns".

Hello Emma

I like your presentation of freezing fog very much.It is one of my favourite things of the wintertime ,especially when the morning is bright and sunny.Your photo's reflections are amazing and very beautiful. It is mirror-like.The composition is very good, and the trees are stellar.TFS

Hello Emma,
This strange landscape is well captured!
The perfect reflection makes the scenery almost unreal, so does the lack of a horizon line...
Land of mystery well captured!

Hi Emma,
I think this is amazing.
There is no telling where the water ends and where the sky begins.
The colors are fantastic and the details great.
