|Intro:||Hello all you lovely people.|
Since I can remember I've been called AC and I have no intention of changing it here, maybe because my real names (Arnoldus Christoffelus) are too long. I live on a small holding on the outskirts of a little village called Hlobane (near Vryheid) in KwaZulu-Natal.
My brother in law introduced me to TrekNature while I was visiting him last Christmas and he showed me the ropes around this wonderful site. I think this was the best present he could possibly give me for Christmas. I had a little point-and-shoot Casio camera at the time (and I thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread), but he quickly convinced me to go dSLR and then he made a couple of phone calls to some people in his camera club and the next moment I had a beautiful, hardly used, second hand Canon 300D. A quick crash-course in the usage of the camera and some technical pointers on technique and photography in general has placed me well and truly on my way. I have not looked back since then and I enjoy every moment of time I can spend with my new camera and also visiting this site.
Unfortunately my business takes me away from home quite often and then it might be a week or two before I return, but I try to visit TrekNature as much as possible.
Thanks to everyone who have visited my portfolio and gave me critiques or just to scrutinise my photos.
