(1982) [2011-01-18 19:48:38] | Michel made a great picture of this owl. But the red stained branch above its head is kind of disturbing.
To fix it I selected and area a bit larger than the red stain. Precision here is not critical since the procedure is very flexible. I chose the saturation tool, then I selected only the red channel and I almost desaturated completely the red but not completely to keep a feeling of brown later. Doing so, the stain was brighter than the rest of the branch so I had to reduce the red density in the same toolbox for desaturation. The effect looks very natural. I hope you won't mind the workshop.

As I wrote in critique, your post great. I like it. However I tried to improve it after reading your message to Ivan.
Since it is in small size, I cant use sharpness very much and so I prefered Neat Image firstly.
Then, I opened it by PhotoScape.
-auto [light] level (low)
-auto contrast (low)
-auto deepness (low)
-auto lightness (low)
- (+)2 sharpness and save as.
I hope you will be pleasure to see my WS.
