Adding some space at the bottom. | peter_stoeckl
(11530) [2019-07-19 13:56:31] | In order to avoid the kingfisher's tail feathers touching the border, adding some space at the bottom might be recommended. The plain white BG makes it easy to do so by simply shifting the image slightly upwards. |

Slightly different post of view. | peter_stoeckl
(11530) [2019-06-30 14:51:55] | The butterfly's conspicous upper sides of wings would only be shownin flight, but hardly ever at rest. My first lucky capture showing Circe visiting blossoms with wings widely open: obviously a very fresh specimen, showing some slight brassy iridescence of its dark scales. |

Vielen Dank. |

 Uncropped. | peter_stoeckl
(11530) [2016-04-11 05:51:32] | Image uncropped (and resharpened after downsize to TN's 800 pixes maximum width). Having to downsize an image of 3:2 ratio to just 800 pixels width will often keep very limited details only. An increase of TN's limits to 1200 pixels width - for category landscape, at least - is on my list of wishes. |

removing ghosting of lense reflection. | peter_stoeckl
(11530) [2016-03-28 11:43:24] | In adoration of this impressive winter scenery directly facing the sun - tried to remove some ghosting caused by the hardly avoidable reflections of lens and aperture when facing the sun.
Photoshop CS4, spray paint. Hope you enjoy. |

 slight selective resharp + levels | peter_stoeckl
(11530) [2016-03-23 02:55:46] [1] | Wonderful image, tempting me to try some very little reshapening of just the head in the centre, and to add some depth on my computer's screen by slightly increasing contrast and decreasing brightness. In adoration of the original. |

 selectively resharpened, auto-contrast | peter_stoeckl
(11530) [2016-03-23 01:08:06] | Some selective resharpening of main parts may always be recommended after downsizing the original to the just 800 pixels width for TN.
The very soft light of morning haze might also be "cured" by slightly increasing the contrast in a little bit of postwork. That might increase the Impact of the image, but that would always be a matter of the author's taste and intention.
With best regards. |
