THE SAME HAWK FROM BACK

Black Giant Squirrel (Ratufa bicolor)

Here is a record shot of that beautiful Black Giant Squirrel (Ratufa bicolor) i was talking about. It was for the first and last time (till now), i saw a Black Giant Squirrel. I was so mesmerized to watch this beauty that forgot to take a shot. It was sleeping then.. on a hidden, high branch of a huge tree. And i could see it through some openings.. all, against the sunlight. But when i remembered to take a shot, it was a bit late. The beautiful, big creature had started moving. This is the ONLY shot i could have on that day.
Black Giant Squirrel is also known as the Malayan Giant Squirrel.
I took the shot on 2nd April, 2012.. in Buxa Tiger Reserve Forest, India.

Hi,
I did a WS on your image. In this one I equalized the brightness level and put a 25% blue filter. Hope you like the result.

Hi Ruby
I cropped the photo to make the subject more predominant in the image. Next lighten his head by dogging. I also lighted the shadow a bit. Then sharpened the area that I lightened.
Finally I lightened the whole image a bit. I hope I haven't altered your intent with the image.
