|Intro:||Photography and Me…through the years|
For me photography, as a serious hobby, kicked off sometime between 1988 and 1989 when I joined a very popular photography club in Bangalore, India - Youth Photographic Society (YPS). At YPS, I could meet a lot of fellow Photographers. The society truly gave me the boost and encouragement needed for an amateur. Some people who went the extra mile are Mr. M.S Hebbar, Mr. H Satish, and Mr. A.K Raju. With their keen eye for detail and guidance, I became a "Nature Photographer"; capturing brief acts of Mother Nature for posterity. I was also a salon exhibitor and conferred with AFAIP honor during this period.
In this journey of photographing nature, I met a lot of people and we have all become part of the same flock (the non-migratory kind). Come weekend, we would meet at Mr. Ravi's or Mr. Dayanand's farm, where we would watch birds and photograph. I have picked up some good macro tips from Mr. Nagaraj and other photographers. It's all about sharing.
After going digital recently, (thanks to a D-80 from my lovely daughter), my passion has taken flight again. With tips and digital inspiration from Mr.H.Satish, Mr. Nagaraj, Mr. Goutham, I have picked up some good macro tips from them and other photographers. It's all about sharing.
I have recently started contributing to Trek Nature.
I look forward to meet more like minded people (birds of the same feather?) here.
