Some selective resharpening of main parts may always be recommended after downsizing the original to the just 800 pixels width for TN.
The very soft light of morning haze might also be "cured" by slightly increasing the contrast in a little bit of postwork. That might increase the Impact of the image, but that would always be a matter of the author's taste and intention.

I have cropped the image quite a bit as you can see. I have also selected the gecko and brigthen its colours while leaving the background alone. Hope you like it.

I have first darken your shot a little bit, sharpen it, added some light on subject and cleaned some of the noise from BG. To me subject looks more prominent now,
