| Intro: | I'm a near native of St. Augustine, Florida, retired to a rural area 10 miles west of town. Much of my subject material can be found just a few feet from my doorstep, from small frogs to large alligators. The county arboretum is nearby, and I spend a lot of time there. St. Augustine is home to the Alligator Farm Zoological Park, with a very active shore bird rookery in spring and early summer. I've become a compulsive photographer, can't even go to the store for a bag of chips, unless I have a camera hung around my neck.
