The best software I have encountered for this is a piece of software called Panaramoa Maker 3.5 by Arcsoft. Its not free, but it is cheap ($39.99) and threre is a 30 day free trial. I use it in all my panoramas and have been that happy with it I purchased it! which for me it the best accolade a piece of software can have - I work in in IT and can usually find something free that will do the same thing, so me buying it is unusual... I tried the free software that came with the Canon cd (I notice you are on canon as well), but was not as impressed with it as this - though it did a reasonable job, It didn't think it was particularly user friendly.

See here for some examples of mine using this software

and here for a link to the software.

I know CS2 will also do this, but since I don't have it, I can't tell you how, but I do remeber a tutorial on a free cd from a photo magazine covering it...
