Thanks for your visit and very kind words, Ram.
Yes I am well, but due to some heavy job obligations much less regularly around here than in the beginning. I realized some of the recent controversies on criticising, of course. The good thing about that: It reassured me of the high level of some participants' involvement in a site of amateurs exchanging downsized images, thoughts, feelings and observations about nature, and the important role this virtual community is playing for many of us.
For me, TN is a community of people that I always enjoy to visit and to exchange with. Its founders' conceptual idea of learning more about nature combined with the chance to improve one's photographic skills is a very good one. For me it is working really well here since more than three years.
So many times when I followed some of the links to other sites recommended by members who planned to leave or left TN, I entered painfully noisy, hectic and overloaded layouts. To me, TN's simple and silent layout is a blessing for the eyes. It helps to concentrate on the presented works and their stories.
Thank you for calming some of those controversies about "honest" and "sincere" critiques in order to return to a peaceful and constructive working together.
I do believe in a healthy system's ability of self regulation.
Probably the same "incorrigible optimist" as you -
with all my best wishes,
Peter
