Hi Harris

Its obvious that with your trained eyes and experience you can spot mistakes which others either cant or do see but choose not to point out. To improve, knowing ones mistake is part of the learning process.

In this particular image, I am curious to know why you attribute the faint colour marks on the back (I admit I did not notice them before reading your comment) to post processing gone wrong. Use of which tool/s in wrong measure would introduce such a effect/result.

I checked whether a little egret can have such colour tinge in any season or stage of development and did not find any such mention. So obviously you seem to be right. I just want to understand how you came to that conclusion.

thanks
Himanshu

I can hardly agree on this one with our mate Harris, ( especially when I observe the image on a calibrated monitor ) , but I would complement this shot with a single point too, based on the very tight cropp around the bird ... if we look the image aesthetically, of course ... friend Himanshy .. I feel that we need a bit more space around the egret ... otherwise, cool capture, sharp and refined !

Hola Himamshu,

F/11 and 1/800....it means good light condition.
A part of its feathers of back and neck(where it makes U shape)got overexposed.
Author tried Curve....then tried to reduce light from that overexposed spots using adobe tools.Harsh light changed into pinkish one.

Hi George,

If u can't see the patches.then I must say that my WATER MONITOR is better than ur CALIBRATED MONITOR.

(smiling)

I am 100% sure that there are so many patches and author tried to remove it using PP,but failed.
