Hi Janice!

The tank is about 40x25x25 centimeters and it has got about 30 liters capacity. Not very big, but insects are much smaller than fishes. My goal is to make almost real pond's biocenosis, without any filters, termometers or similiar stuff. Just tank, water, plants and animals. No feeding - plants produce biomasse eaten by herbivorous animals, dead remainds of plants and animals are eaten by other animals, and of course there is place for carnivores. This is beauty of nature - like perpetuum mobile fueled by sunlight.

On my picture (1) and (4) will become insect flying in air. (1) is called in Polish Jetka Jednodniowka [One-day Mayfly] because after leaving water it lives only one day.

By the way - all insects on my pictures are not longer than 1 cm.

I'm glad that you like my picture Janice, as I wrote before these pictures are very special for me. They and my tank are parts of me and my love to nature :-)

Tank regards my friend,
Greg!
ps still overbusy at work :-)
