I am so pleased you found this interesting - they are amazing creatures - very family orientated and will not abandon sick or injured members. It took me 40 years to see a pack in the wild (having been born and brought up in Africa!!). So a real privilege to see them, even in this captive breeding programme. One does get to see them more in the wild in SAfrica and its incredible to see how focused and fast they are when going on the hunt - they just stroll past your car without a second glance. Its worth watching them on National Geographic or Animal Planet if you get the chance. South Africa
