Hello Cristina& Felipe,
thanks a lot for looking into the African masks! I am a biologist and constantly raising questions like "Why are the colorful bugs aggregating like that?" Of course they follow sunspots. They also might be better protected against birds by assembling, being "big". The colors are presumably advertising distastefulness. But the black?
