Good point! Actually I haven't looked that close on these guys. On my monitor only one of them has bluish back colouration, the rest is simply grey. Concerning the snouts I must look at the original files and other pictures from that place, is it only an impression created by side light or is it really so. In fact I cannot exclude the possibility that there may be already males of Rana arvalis that hasn't developed the full mating colour yet. I will let you know when I check it. Anyway, thanks a lot for this substantial remark.
