Thank you very much for your very positive, detailed and well written critique! It was a real pleasure to read it! Also thank you very much for providing the name of the plant. I had no idea where to start searching it. Thanks to you, now I know it's a Lantana camara - Yellow Sage!
I'm afraid that not even f/22 would have created a deep enough DOF to include both the wings in the sharp area. But I would have stopped down even further if I had a tripod handy. However, the Swallowtail kept fluttering its wings continuously (not very fast and with a small amplitude) and this could have made things even worse at longer shutter speeds. As I'm not very fond of high ISO settings I decided to take the picture using the specified settings. I must say that I was raptured when I saw the whole sequence on the camera display :)
