IF I had worn the balaclava I think the snake would have jumped out of its skin...LOL!
In my area < here in Nova Scotia > we have a lot of garter snakes which are harmless.
I thought at first it was one of them, as I had never seen a Smooth Green aka Grass Snake before...
[ They are almost entirely insectivorous eating mainly crickets, grasshoppers, and smooth caterpillars. So not a a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boomslang">BOOMSLANG eh! ]
