Autofocus isn't working! Hotelcalifornia Gold Star Critiquer/Silver Workshop Editor/Gold Note Writer [C: 1519 W: 24 N: 2225] (14408)::2016-05-07 0:27
Hello TN Members,
My Tamron 70-300mm lens's autofocus isn't working anymore; I have tried a lot to fix it. But manual focus is working well.
My another lens Nikon 18-105mm is working well and autofocus is great.
Any idea to get rid of this problem?
Thanks and have a nice WE,
Srikumar

I had the same lens with the same problem, it sent back for repair, which only lasted a couple of months. I also found that turning of the macro switch would allow some autofocus. In the end I just scrapped it a bought a Canon 70-300 L series and have never looked back.

regards Bill.

Hi Srikumar,
I just popped in and saw your message.
One thing you can try is to clean the contacts, both on camera and lens.
