It is actually a dark green wall in the BG. The light was coming in at an angle where it illuminated the weasel and threw the BG into shadow. He stopped on the highest log in a log pile so there was nothing else between him and the BG (I guess it is a good lookout point and it was the only place where he would pause for a couple of seconds)
