The formula is really "simple". You have to have: time + patience + luck + time + time :>
And the tru is that there are some periods of day when it is a little easier to take pictures of Cicindelidae - early morning (when they start to be active) and very early evening - when they start to "think" about night. Another good time is when they copulate (till now no success, but I'm trying all the time...) or when they eat something (usually they do not like to fly away during dinner).
And according to low POV, well, I choose this one because of (I believe) good perspective what is important for me (I try to take rather documentary than artistic pictures, especially if I need them for publishing :>). When I take such pictures I usually lie on the ground :> (sometimes it is not nice, especially in case of species like this one - it prefers rather muddy banks of see or saltmarshes).
