Thanks for the critique and for taking the time to do a workshop on my photo.
It looks as though the main aim of your workshop was to brighten up the mid-tones on the photo.
When I posted it (and when I post all my photos in fact) I am very aware that although they may look fine to me, some people may find them too light/too dark. I regularly use 2 different monitors, one which I know is on it's last legs and the original photo is WAY too dark, but your workshop looks perfect. On this monitor, the calibration chart at the bottom of every TN page is too dark, the first 3 blocks are indistinguishable from one another. On my other monitor which is new and much brighter, the original image looks perfect, and so does the calibration chart.
I wonder, was it just this image of mine which you found too dark, or all of them?
