Haaaaa...haaaaaaaaa...haaaaaaaaaaa.... :) These leafhoppers have escaped by little from your "fading mania" my Dear friend George!... Really is a pleasure to hear from you again friend, I hope you and your little Peter are very good and I send blessings and good wishes from Venezuela!.
I am making these photos of tiny insects, using the integrated camera flash. I think I'll have to buy a ring flash (currently still out of my budget, as usual) because the flash of the camera will not let me get very close the lens to insects. I found hardly use this built-in flash (you know I'm very empirical taking pictures) because some parts of the insects result too bright in the photos.
I0ve used f/20 because I find it hard to focus with my macro lens (this is manual focus) and I do not use tripod... Our insects jumping as crazy even while copulating! ... Almost impossible to place a tripod nearby! ... but equally I have fun with these tiny creatures! ....
I Hope my free time allows me to post some new pictures in TN, I need your "old guillotine" to hear about many flaws I have in my pictures! ... Now I usually posting in a Facebook group where there are many Venezuelan entomologists, and they do not care about the technical quality of the picture but "bugs look" .... So I think I've lost some "mystical" to work hard for a good picture! ... So thank you for these very useful comments from you! ... Happy Sunday friend George! ...
Please do not follow "fading South America" .... haaaaa ... haaaaaaaa .... haaaaaa .... You're quite a character, my dear friend! ...
