No, this photo does not do justice to the beauty and "awesomeness" of this natural phenomenon. This only shows one little branch. Imagine a whole grove of trees covered from top to bottom with these amazing tiny travelers. The sky was filled with them as well, fluttering to and fro.
Note that the white forms are butterflies with their wings folded up, showing their undersides.
