Nigel, thank you for your kind words again. And thank you for noticing the bite taken out of P. xiphia's right hindwing. I am quite relieved that also with this species the missing part of the wing has shown an eyespot. Otherwise the false head theory presented with Iphiclides podalirius would have suffered a bit. ;) But so it seems to be confirmed. :)
